Google Business Profile hides part of a long post text behind a control, and we have not measured where. This card folds after 3 lines — that is our line, not Google Business Profile's, so open it to read the rest.

Your images are read by this browser and never uploaded. Nothing is saved.

This Google Business post preview lays an update out the way Search and Maps show it. Paste your text into the editor and it renders beside it as you type, with the single photo a local post carries.

The limit is 1,500 characters and the surface shows a fraction of it before “Read more”. That boundary is not drawn here on purpose: it differs between Search, Maps and devices, so a single line would be wrong somewhere. Put the offer, the date or the reason to call in the opening sentence and the boundary stops mattering.

Two things about this surface catch people out. It takes one photo rather than a gallery, so a post written as a carousel arrives as its first image. And it has no video at all through the API.

Updates also expire: unless it is an event or an offer with dates of its own, one stops showing after roughly six months. Nothing here is uploaded — the photo is read by your own browser and never leaves it.

Questions

How long can a Google Business post be?

1,500 characters, including spaces and line breaks.

How much of it is visible?

A few lines before “Read more”. The exact point differs between Search, Maps and devices, which is why this preview draws no boundary.

How many photos does an update take?

One. A post written with several images reaches this surface as its first image, and video is not published here at all.

Does this tool upload my photo?

No. It is read inside your browser and never sent anywhere. Closing the tab discards it.
