Approve your first week
The Planner is where your posts come from. PostPost.ai writes whole posts for your brand (caption, picture, and the networks they go to) and they wait there for your decision, one at a time. Nothing is scheduled until you approve it.
1. Your first week is written for you#
As soon as your plan is active, PostPost.ai writes your first week: the posts you saw while setting up your brand, plus the rest of the week, as many as you asked for under “How often should we post for you?”. They arrive in the Planner as they finish, usually within a few minutes. The Planner says “Writing your first week…” until they are in.
Open it from Planner, the first item in the menu, or from the bar above the calendar (Open planner).
2. Decide, post by post#
Each post shows its picture, its caption, the networks it goes to, and the day and time it goes out. Posts from your first week keep the times the week gave them. For each post you can:
- Approve: schedules the post at the time on the button. It lands on the calendar and publishes on its own.
- Change the time: tap change next to “Goes out” and pick another time before you approve.
- Edit: open the full editor to change the caption (per network too), the media, or the networks.
- Not this one: removes the post. Tell PostPost.ai why if you like (off topic, too salesy, the tone, wrong facts, the picture, or your own words) and the next posts take it into account. Not now, show it later moves the post to the back instead.
Changed your mind? Every decision has an Undo for a few minutes.
3. More posts as you go#
The Planner keeps about ten posts waiting. Once your first week is in, it writes enough to get there in one go. After that, as you approve and turn down posts, it writes more, and it stops writing when you stop deciding. Posts you leave undecided for two weeks leave on their own.
Want something specific? Create adds your own post: describe it in a few words, add photos or a product if you like, and choose when it goes out (Best time, Today, Tomorrow or Custom). It is written in the background and waits first in the Planner. Pressing + on a day in the calendar opens it on that day, with the time already filled in.
Before your first post goes out#
- Connect at least one network. A post says so before you approve it when one of its networks isn’t connected yet, with a link to connect it. See Connecting your social channels.
- Check the time zone. Posts are booked in the brand’s time zone (Settings → Tell us about your company → Time zone); times are shown in your own. See Scheduling, time zones, and cross-posting.
- Approving is free. Writing posts and pictures spends AI credits; scheduling and publishing never do.
