Creating posts and carousels with AI
PostPost.ai is idea-first: you describe what you want to say, and the AI handles the format, the copy, and the visual.
Creating a post#
- Click Create and describe your idea in a sentence or two: a promo, a tip, an announcement, anything.
- Optionally add photos or a video from your device or your brand library, or a product or service, so the copy has real detail to work with. Several photos make a carousel.
- Choose when it goes out: Best time, Today, Tomorrow or Custom (a day and time of your own).
- The post is written and designed in the background and waits first in the Planner for your approval.
Rather write every word yourself? Write it yourself opens the editor with a blank post.
The four formats#

Posts, carousels, and stories are designed by the AI in your brand’s colors, fonts, and logo. Video is upload-and-publish: PostPost.ai doesn’t generate footage — you bring the clip, the AI writes the caption around it and picks the right native surface (Reel, Short, or plain video) from the clip’s orientation.

Editing the result#
Nothing publishes without your say-so. For every draft you can:
- Edit the caption — including a different caption per channel (shorter for X, more formal for LinkedIn).
- Regenerate the text if the angle isn’t right, or shorten it for one channel in a click.
- Generate or swap the media, or upload your own instead.
- Add or remove channels.
- Archive drafts you don’t need — they leave the list without being deleted.
Finding an archived post#
Archiving is not deleting. Archived at the top of the posts list shows everything you’ve put away, and any of them can be restored to the list from the same place — one at a time or several at once. Deleting is a separate, deliberate action, and that one is permanent.
Posts written ahead for you#
You don’t have to come up with every post. The Planner keeps about ten finished posts waiting for your decision and writes more as you approve and turn them down, learning from the posts you turn down. See Approve your first week.
What this costs#
Writing copy, generating images, generating carousels, and the posts the Planner writes all spend AI credits — you’re charged the real AI cost, not a flat per-post fee. Editing, scheduling, and publishing are free. See How AI credits work.
