Creating posts and carousels with AI
PostPost.ai is idea-first: you describe what you want to say, and the AI handles the format, the copy, and the visual.
Creating a post#
- Click Create new post and describe your idea in a sentence or two — a promo, a tip, an announcement, anything.
- Optionally add a photo or video from your device or your brand library, or attach a product/service or a reference document so the copy has real detail to work with.
- The AI suggests the best format for the idea and writes the post. Or skip the chat entirely: under Or create it yourself pick the format yourself.

The four formats#
| Format | What it is | Where it can go |
|---|---|---|
| Post | One image or video with a caption | Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Telegram, Google Business Profile |
| Carousel | 2–10 designed slides | Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Telegram, Google Business Profile |
| Videos / Reels / Shorts | One clip you upload | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Telegram |
| Stories | One image or video, 24-hour surface | Instagram, Facebook |
Posts, carousels, and stories are designed by the AI in your brand’s colors, fonts, and logo. Video is upload-and-publish: PostPost.ai doesn’t generate footage — you bring the clip, the AI writes the caption around it and picks the right native surface (Reel, Short, or plain video) from the clip’s orientation.
Channel limits differ a lot, and PostPost.ai checks them for you before a send — see What each channel accepts.
Editing the result#
Nothing publishes without your say-so. For every draft you can:
- Edit the caption — including a different caption per channel (shorter for X, more formal for LinkedIn).
- Regenerate the text if the angle isn’t right, or shorten it for one channel in a click.
- Generate or swap the media, or upload your own instead.
- Add or remove channels.
- Archive drafts you don’t need — they leave the list without being deleted.
Finding an archived post#
Archiving is not deleting. Archived at the top of the posts list shows everything you’ve put away, and any of them can be restored to the list from the same place — one at a time or several at once. Deleting is a separate, deliberate action, and that one is permanent.
Planning content ahead#
If you’d rather work from a plan than post-by-post, open Content plan. PostPost.ai builds a strategy for up to 4 weeks: content pillars, per-channel cadence, and a weekly theme, with a grid of planned post slots. You can adjust the whole plan in plain words — for example, “more selling posts” — and regenerate. See Approve your first week.
What this costs#
Writing copy, generating images, generating carousels, and building or adjusting a plan all spend AI credits — you’re charged the real AI cost, not a flat per-post fee. Editing, scheduling, and publishing are free. See How AI credits work.
